      <Abstract>A high capacity energy efficient dynamic MAC Protocol was&amp;nbsp;developed for WCDMA wireless multimedia networks. It&amp;nbsp;used multiple slots per frame allowing a multiple users to&amp;nbsp;transmit simultaneously using their own CDMA codes. An&amp;nbsp;adaptive power control algorithm was applied to reduce&amp;nbsp;transmission power to maximize system capacity at the&amp;nbsp;beginning of each frame. Result based on simulation revealed&amp;nbsp;that proposed MAC protocol achieved high throughput and
improved capacity.</Abstract>
