A high capacity energy efficient dynamic MAC Protocol was developed for WCDMA wireless multimedia networks. It used multiple slots per frame allowing a multiple users to transmit simultaneously using their own CDMA codes. An adaptive power control algorithm was applied to reduce transmission power to maximize system capacity at the beginning of each frame. Result based on simulation revealed that proposed MAC protocol achieved high throughput and
improved capacity.
