Article Withdraw Policy

International Journal of Innovative Research in Computer Science & Technology (IJIRCST) is committed to maintaining the publication ethics while providing high-quality publications. We expect our authors/users to comply with best practices in publication ethics as well as in the quality of their articles. Manuscript withdrawal is a common procedure in publication for various genuine reasons however recently it’s being misused by the author for unethical withdrawal. Many such instances exist where author send unethical withdraw request which results in wastage of precious resources, including editors, reviewers, and the editorial staff. To cope with such situation, International Journal of Innovative Research in Computer Science & Technology (IJIRCST) develops withdrawal policy for all stages of manuscript submission & publication separately as follows:

PRE-PUBLICATION WITHDRAWAL (DURING PEER-REVIEW AND EDITING PROCESS)

Withdrawal process during editorial workflow has been divided in two parts; before manuscript acceptance and after acceptance as described below-

  • Manuscript Withdrawal (Before Acceptance)

Authors who wish to withdraw their manuscript after submission but previous to acceptance may do so, given they give a valid reason. pullout requests made before the peer-review process starts generally within two days of submission will be handled incontinently, without the need for an explanation. Still, if the peer review is formerly underway, authors must present significant ethical grounds for their withdrawal. However, indeed after the manuscript has been completely withdrawn, necessary ethical measures may be enforced, If any unethical reason for the manuscript's withdrawal is detected (even after it is completely withdrawn), we might take corresponding ethical action. The submitting author should consider all ethical aspects before submission.

  • Manuscript Withdrawal Policy(After Acceptance)

    • Post-acceptance manuscript withdrawals are disallowed. We maintain a principle that does not allow authors to retract their articles upon acceptance just to submit elsewhere, which eventually wastes resources for editorial staff and reviewers. It is the submitting author's duty to read through all relevant details on the journal's official website and come to a consensus among all the co-authors prior to submission. Moreover, the submitting author should also know the publication policies of his/her country, institute, or funder and consult co-authors before submission.
    • In the event that there is any doubt concerning potential conflicts between these policies and the guidelines of our journal, the submitting author can contact us through the contact e-mail provided in the "Contact Us" page. Nevertheless, please be advised that any conflicts will not be regarded as grounds for withdrawal of a manuscript after it is accepted.
    • In instances where a published manuscript that is deemed acceptable is subsequently discovered to contain scientific errors, to be duplicating a published paper, or to be in violation of our publication ethics, which encompass issues of repeated submissions, misstatement of authorship, plagiarism, review bias, fraudulent publication practices, or other misconduct, we will deal accordingly in accordance with policies governing ethical misconduct.

POST PUBLICATION WITHDRAWAL (AFTER PUBLISHED)

IJIRCST acknowledges the vital role that a complete and trustworthy scholarly record plays for both researchers and librarians. We prioritize the confidence in our electronic archive. The decision to publish any submitted manuscript rests solely with the handling editor, who bases this judgment on the reviewers' recommendations and the policies of the journal and publisher. Once published, articles are expected to remain unchanged and intact. However, ethical dilemmas may arise that necessitate the correction, replacement, retraction, or removal of a published article. Such measures must be approached with seriousness and are permitted only in exceptional circumstances. This policy addresses these potential issues by aligning with best practices within the scholarly publishing community. We advocate for international standards in these matters and are committed to integrating evolving best practices as standards develop over time.
