Abstract
Globally, diseases have an influence on people, communities, and healthcare systems, posing serious threats to human health and wellbeing. The emphasis of this chapter is on illnesses and their prevention, with particular attention paid to important issues including disease causation, disease preventive tactics, and the significance of public health initiatives. It talks about how illnesses may be prevented and controlled via immunizations, good cleanliness, health education, and access to healthcare services. In order to build a healthy and disease-free society, the chapter emphasises the need for comprehensive and multifaceted methods to disease prevention that include cooperation between governments, healthcare professionals, and people.
