A psychological framework called the Attraction-Selection-Attrition (ASA) model may be used to describe how organizational cultures develop and persist over time. According to this idea, people are drawn to organizational that share their values, personalities, and views. An organizational prefers to choose and keep people who fit well with its current culture and values after they have joined (selection and attrition). People who don't fit the organization's dominant culture are more likely to quit or be ostracised, which over time results in a homogeneity of organizational culture. An overview of the ASA model, its elements, and its consequences for comprehending and controlling organizational culture are given in this abstract. The importance of the ASA model for fostering cohesive and productive work environments is also highlighted, along with how it may be applied to diverse organizational situations.
